A moonbow, or lunar rainbow, is a rainbow produced by moonlight reflecting off water droplets, such as from a waterfall or rain. They are rare because they require a specific set of conditions: a full moon, water droplets in the air, and a clear night sky. Moonbows typically appear white to the human eye because the moonlight is too faint for our eyes to distinguish the colors, though they do contain the full spectrum.
