Hah, I just took my Dwarf 3 out today and got some very similar photos!
I have about $15k worth of astrophotography gear in a storage unit that I haven’t touched in 5 years or so. It would take me hours to get everything set up to get similar photos, and that’s not even including the post-processing time on the computer. I pulled the Dwarf 3 out of the box, set it up and updated the firmware, watched a few YouTube videos, then had an amazing sun shot within 5 minutes of taking it outside and putting it on a tripod.
I can’t wait to try it on deep space stuff. Full moon tonight, though, so not much to image other than the moon. And I don’t even like imaging the moon when it’s full, it’s much more interesting when it’s less-than-full because the shadows really accentuate the features.
Edit: and of course, tonight will be the last clear night for a while, so I guess I’ll be out there taking shots of the moon. In my experience it’s a waste of time to do deep space stuff with the full moon out.
