(Porter County, IN) – A suspected illegal alien living in the area could be deported.
Indiana State Police said 35 year old Daniel Ramirez was found with a large amount of cocaine during a Monday traffic stop in Porter County.
The man living in Knox was caught speeding on Indiana 49 Monday despite snow and ice covered roads. Police said Ramirez didn’t pull over right away but, eventually, he stopped near a ramp to U.S. 30.
The cocaine weighing 11 grams was in four brick shaped packages and found after a K-9 dog alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle, police said.
Police said a hold on Ramirez was placed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) for possible deportation.
