11/8/2025 undisclosed suburb of a moderate sized Midwestern city within the US. I frequently stare up into the sky hoping to get a glimpse of something anomalous. I thought today was my day for a brief second. I walked outside to check something and saw the two small kids in the yard next door staring up into the sky. One asked the other, “what is that?” I got excited, but couldn’t see anything. A moment later, an object popped out from over the house’s. My heart jumped! Then two more. I pulled out my camera and started filming. Sadly, as they got closer I was able to tell they were make shift flying sky lanterns. They appeared to be made with trash bags and candles of some sort. I do have other videos which show them more clearly. In total there were probably five to seven of them. Just sharing in case others got excited as well. I can probably debunk. Bummer.
