For context, I’ve been attending a college near an Army Airfield and an Air National Guard base for a little over a year now. This is in Savannah, GA.
Since this summer I’ve noticed, in cloudless, clear conditions, solid white lights in the sky going at different angles, fading into and out of sight. They appear in groups of one to three at a time, descending and ascending in height. They do not visually flash whatsoever. They do not have any other color, extension, or noise (they might be too far away for this observation) associated with them. They do not line up with satellites moving in the area.
Since then, I’ve seen them at an angle approx. 0° North from a walking path I often enjoy at night.
On Tuesday, I was on a different section of this path, and was facing approx. 286° West when I saw the same lights. There are no airports this direction, except one, which I will address in the description of clip three. This area, when superimposed on maps, is straight forest for miles. All of the military bases are north/northeast/east of where I am.
While there were a few more lights than what I captured that night, I feel that these three clips are a good sum of what I’ve been seeing—Including a comparison to conventional aircraft, stars, etc. Even multiple ‘appearing’ at one time. Curiously, after I finished filming the last clip you see, they stopped 'appearing' altogether. I went back another night and did not see anything else but conventional air traffic. Sometimes I feel like it’s linked to if they ‘know’ I’m expecting to see them. Maybe I’m trying to make a connection to something that isn’t there. I don’t know.
Anywho.
Since Reddit (dumbly) only allows one video attachment per post, I’ve edited the three clips I’ve caught together.
1) (0:00)
This clip shows a point of light being followed by another, flying to the top right of the screen and fading. The trailing light fades before the leading one does so behind it.
2) ~(0:28)
The second clip shows two lights, one approaching from the left, another from the right, ascending into the opposite corners of the video frame. The light approaching the top left corner of the frame fades before the other light does so.
3) ~(1:00)
The third clip shows the beginning of a light ascending, moving towards the top left of the screen. This light fades away. A conventional, blinking aircraft appears from the left side, descending towards what I believe to be (possibly) Cypress Lakes Airport—or, making a wide turn into another 'nearby' field. at the 1:18 mark, a light appears abruptly and passes directly in front of the descending flight. This light fades from the frame and the conventional aircraft remains (This is CLEARLY different behavior in physical appearance and behavior!)
This clip is the most interesting to me, personally.
ALL of these videos were filmed from the approx. location 31.98160° N, 81.15840° W, facing the direction approx. 286° West. The time frame was between 8:18pm – 8:26pm EST on November 4th, 2025.
If anybody has any information; flight overlays, personal experience, etc. Please share! I just want to know what these are.
I will answer any questions and DM you the full, uncompressed clips if requested.
Thank you for your time,
Eric M.
