Lagoon Nebula, M8 in natural color. Shot on my Canon 500mm f4 with a 2x teleconverter and Canon R7. The Canon R7 has some banding issues in low light, careful editing helped hide and mitigate it. This image is 19x180s exposures, tracked and guided. Error was terrible that night, around 1.5-2” error. It was low on the horizon, otherwise longer exposures would’ve helped with more color detail. No calibration files used, none were needed. Raw .CR3 files were preprocessed in Lightroom to apply lens profile corrections, bring down highlights, color fringe adjustments, black level adjustments, and exported as 16 bit .tif files. From there it was processed with Siril/Photoshop. Stacked and unstarred in Siril, color corrected and stretched with curves in Photoshop, and restarred in Siril. GraXpert for that extra denoise
