Justice Department reaches deal to allow Boeing to avoid prosecution over 737 Max crashes
—
There’s long been speculation Boeing is one of many corps with access to NHI tech. Obviously they have other ‘national security’ excuses they can always fall back on as the reason for this get out of jail free card, but it does make you wonder that much more every time they (& other aerospace corps) get bailed out.
Beyond the unethical monetary gain that Grusch & many others have mentioned happening behind the scenes, what happens when disclosure finally does come through? If we assume for a moment that perhaps it happens through something like the newly proposed UAPRA, they’ll all likely be pitched as some sort of hero pioneering the new frontiers of technology, but then we’ll have to look back and reassess situations like this, and determine if they were handled properly or illegally/clandestinely.
