I think it’s just annoying to hear everyone assume it’s aliens or time travel or whatever every time we don’t understand how people did something in the past.
Reminds me of the story of “angel’s glow.” In the civil war, a portion of wounded soldiers had their wounds begin to *glow*. Copper is lower than silica (sand) on the moh’s scale, copper is a 3, silica is 6-7. So you expect anyone to believe that rubbing sand with copper tube will cut into stone?
Firstly, there has never been a copper tube found that is perfect enough in symmetry to spin without a wobble. Anything that spins into stone and cuts into it needs to be calibrated and straight, or it will jam as it goes down. It will also wobble, causing an imperfect hole diameter. That’s not what we see in the holes drilled in Egypt.
Secondly, the copper would be abraded by the sand before it does anything to the granite. I am a Stonemason. We have a waterjet cutter which blasts 80grit garnet sand which is pressurised by water to between 30,000 to 90,000psi and when that shit hits other garnets in the stone, it won’t cut them because they are the same hardness as the garnet we use in the water. The garnet bounces off, literally. Then the water looses most cutting qualities and the pieces is blasted by the pressure. So they want you to believe that sand which is silica will cut into granite, which has a upto 45% silica content? That’s actually not just stupid, it’s not possible. Maybe into sandstone or marble, not granite.

Ive seen a few videos that show ancient lathes still sitting there. They are very rudimentry but feasable to make better tools so ancient knowledge of engineering and cutting was there. Ive spent half my young life in cnc and tool making and am beginner metalergist. There is an immense amount of patterns to todays machining and whatever they were doing back then.
The more I keep reading about the prymids, the more I feel like they were induction cookers for shaping rocks or pouring casts and then machine shaping to finish.

I am a stone mason. I have drilled various quartzites and can say it’s no small task. But I can certainly see how the ancients may have had tools that would make this type of work possible. I have fashioned smooth surfaces using a core drill and sanding techniques like what is seen here. Would probably take me about 3 days. Probably took the ancients a few months.
Edit: I don’t know what’s pictured here or it’s description but it looks modern to me. Maybe something drilled after discovery for sampling or to move the artifact.

Something was definitely going on in Egypt. They were able to fit impossibly large carved ‘grave’ covers inside the pyramid with enough room to fit a few men in the room. I forget what it was called but I believe it held a mummified cow. That’s just one of the many feats they accomplished.
