So as the title suggests, I came into some footage from my neighbor recording a peculiar occurance in the sky @ approx 8:31pm on Saturday Sept 9th. I was walking home with my partner, checking the mail when our neighbor showed me this video. It looks like a white circle or sphere of light moving in strange patterns in the night sky. You can see it if you look directly above the street light that is further down the street on the video. When watching it again I noticed two more similar objects in the air to the right of the initially observed one. My most logical conclusion is it has something to do with the storm in the background. The storm itself is about 10 miles northwest from the cameras perspective with it moving in a direction that is southeast by about 30° from directly south. This was captured in Leander, TX to help with location. I was wondering if anyone on her would have a better hypothesis to what it is or if someone could substantiate my claim with it pertaining to the storm that was approaching. The only component that doesn’t figure in nicely is the angles and flight path they are taking in the sky. Last piece of of relevant info is that the location of the storm is also where several aircraft use as an approach vector when landing in Austin. However, I can imagine an aircraft flying the same way as this storm with it only possibly being a drone, but again the angles and velocity it displays makes that difficult to accept.

The post’s description should hold most of the relevant information for the context of this video. However, I would state that due to the movement direction, the velocity that they move, and the relation to the moving vehicles makes for an arguement that the objects captured on film are indeed Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon that might be difficult to categorize as an established law of nature or craft that is man made.
Could be some kind of laser light show.

So a storm with lighting could create orbs or spheres of electricity that travel in a similar way as on this video?
gets pretty interesting when you slowly scrub between the 29 and 30 second marks. could be jumping due to frame rate? but looks like multiple lights moving together off and on.
They definitely move in a coordinated fashion. Spotlights seem much more likely. Someone else mentioned lens flaring, however the distant from the lens to the objects along with the stillness of the cameraman lead me to believe that wouldn’t be likely.
I live in Austin and always keep an eye out for UAP’s whenever there’s visible lightning. However, that could be “ball lightning” which is a phenomenon in and of itself. I’ve seen some videos online of it since it’s the most bizarre looking shit and that looks similar.
Regardless, weird video and cool find!
Looks like someone shining a powerful torch
That’s a transformer blowing up I think
That’s happening over here in the U.K. too, I saw it this evening and over the weekend, someone I know on Facebook said the same, we both describe it as lightning hit without thunder or rain, I’ve seen someone say it’s ‘heat lightning’
Maybe insects being lit by the streetlights. Like the video of the birds over Milwaukee, they can appear to be ghosting as well.
im %95 sure this is a ball lightning
its lightning
How many times are we gonna see similar videos, of flashlights reflecting off clouds, and people claiming it is a UFO?
I live probably 60 miles from where this was taken
its called “heat lighting”
its a very common thing…..in texas….happens sometimes daily….
also, at 8:30 pm on saturday, there was a thunderstorm in a town not too far to the south of austin…I drove through it
the end
Kinda looks like lens flare/reflection from the bright nearby light sources (porch light and then headlights) …. notice how they’re almost exactly in time with the light sources
