10-year-old Edmond boy becomes an OKC Comet thanks to Make-A-Wish
The Oklahoma City Comets honored local heroes during Heroes Night, including 10-year-old Jonathan Mauldin, who joined the team for a day through Make-A-Wish Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City Comets hosted Heroes Night at Chickasaw Ballpark, recognizing local heroes from the area, including 10-year-old Jonathan Mauldin from Edmond. Mauldin, who underwent a liver transplant in 2018, was celebrated as one of many superheroes during the event. He joined the Comets for a day, participating in warm-ups and batting practice with the team. A few minutes before the event, Mauldin officially signed a contract with the Comets for the day, with the help of the team and Make-A-Wish Oklahoma.
