Richard “Rick” Schnepp, 73, of Lafayette, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, at IU Health Arnett.
He was born on November 13, 1952, in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Charles and Mabel (Wooldridge) Schnepp.
Rick was married to Sherry Wilson on October 30, 1976.
He retired from Rea Magnet Wire, after 41 years of committed service.
Rick loved his family and cheering on IU Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed the little things in life, like his flowers, birds and the time he spent with his loyal dog, Jessie.
Survived by his sisters, Beverly (Charles) Sipple, of Battleground and Barbara Cochran, of Lafayette, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry. and their son, Kristopher; brothers, Randy (Nancy) and Dennis (Laurie) Schnepp; and brother-in-law, Mark Cochran.
A graveside service will take place at Colburn Brethren Cemetery on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11 a.m.
