The Ballard Memorial Lady Bombers ended things early Monday night in a 12-0 win over Carlisle County in the second game of the First Region tournament.

Ballard Memorial took care of business early Monday afternoon, securing their spot in the First Region semifinals after downing Carlisle County 12-0.
The Lady Bombers took advantage of every opportunity thrown their way as they tallied 10 hits with 11 RBI and 12 runs while suffering just one strikeout as a team. Nearly every batter for the girls in green put bat to ball throughout the night, with multiple Lady Bombers going 2-for-3, including Trinity Williams and Miley Nichols.
Ballard wasted no time in their first offensive inning as they racked up six runs, capitalizing on three errors, a hit-by-pitch and a double.
The Carlisle County Lady Comets season came to an end Monday night in a 12-0 loss to Ballard Memorial in the First Region softball tournament.

Carlisle came out in the top of the second in an effort not to go down swinging. They put two on base with a single from Arnold and a ground ball turned error for J. Teasley.
The Lady Bombers added one more in the bottom of the second, but Carlisle’s defense held their own to keep that as the only run against them in the inning. They would keep things rolling in the third, courtesy of two singles and a double to make it a 10-0 score with the threat of the game ending early looming.
Two more doubles in the top of the fourth would put the exclamation mark on the night with the 11th and 12th runs of the night courtesy of Nichols and Serenity Owens.
While Gracelyn Glisson pitched the first four innings nearly flawlessly with six strikeouts, two runs and a walk, Madyson Bohde came in to pitch the final half inning to close out the night, dealing out three strikeouts in her 13-pitch performance.
J Teasley and Rylee Lemons took their turns on the mound for the Lady Comets, each throwing two innings.
Ballard advances to the semifinal round of the First Region tournament where they will take on Paducah Tilghman Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
