Deputies responded Sunday to Chick Drive in the Kerens area of Randolph County after repeated 911 calls from Nelan.

Deputies say when they made contact, Nelan made several false claims, including that he was being harassed by numerous individuals and that he was a police officer from Louisiana.

After performing an investigation, deputies determined Nelan knowingly misused the emergency telephone system by reporting events that did not occur.

Nelan is now in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with a cash-only bond of $2,500.
