Kyowon Red Pen has launched “My Universe,” a science book series for preschool and elementary school children, the company said Wednesday.

My Universe is designed to help children aged 5 to 9 easily acquire knowledge on a wide range of topics, including basic science concepts, space, nature and advanced technology. The series features a carefully curated selection of titles, including global bestsellers chosen by Amazon and The New York Times, winners of international children’s book awards, and outstanding books selected by the National Science Teachers Association of the United States.

The collection consists of 20 main books, two supplementary science exploration activity books and 20 audio storybook recordings. Through these materials, children can systematically develop critical and integrative thinking skills as well as creativity, alongside subjects related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), which has gained prominence in recent years. The supplementary books are structured to help children naturally understand concepts and principles across various scientific fields through exploratory activities such as identifying relationships and comparing characteristics.

“In future society, creative and integrative thinking that connects diverse fields to generate new value will be a core competency, rather than the acquisition of fragmented knowledge,” a Kyowon Red Pen official said. “My Universe not only broadens children’s cosmic perspective but also helps them develop the ability to connect and expand different concepts and understand them in an integrated way.”
