That’s exactly the mess Houston is facing right now.

The Connecticut Sun are officially relocating to Houston for the 2027 season, but bringing back the Comets brand is turning into a legal nightmare.

The league let the trademark expire in 2021.

Then, in 2024, a company called TSTM Holdings LLC secured the rights to Houston Comets.

Now both sides are battling in federal court.

The WNBA says it still owns common law rights because it kept selling retro merch and promoting the team’s legacy.

TSTM says the league abandoned the brand after years of non-use.

So what do you think will happen?
