WORKINGTON have announced a team change with 18-year-old Max Perry set to join the Comets this weekend.
Perry, who has previously raced in the Cab Direct Championship for Poole and Glasgow, comes in to replace Jamie Etherington who left the club yesterday in a mutual decision between rider and club.
Promoter Andrew Bain said: “Max is someone we’ve been keeping an eye on, and when the opportunity came up we felt it was the right move for both the rider and the club.
“He’s shown he can compete at this level and we believe he can come in and score the points we need from reserve.
“He’s hungry to get going and he also has a good track record around Northside, and we’re confident he’ll settle in quickly and make a positive contribution to the team.”
Subject to approval, Perry will make his Comets debut when they visit Scunthorpe in the BSN Series on Friday.
