Homer-Center was locked in a tight battle with Penns Manor Saturday night before the Wildcats broke out for nine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, turning a 4-3 lead into a 13-3 five-inning win in the Homer-Center Boosters Tournament.

Drew Fisher was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk in four plate appearances, Eli Turk was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Nash Budner had two hits with a double and three runs driven in for the Wildcats.  Collin Dunn gave up three straight hits to lead off the game but only two the rest of the way to get the win, walking none and striking out six.

The other scheduled game Saturday, between Blacklick Valley and Brookville, was rained out.

 

Drew Fisher was named tournament MVP and Turk and Budner joined him on the all-tournament team.
