The Greenville Lady Comets softball team had a victory get away from them at home last Friday.
The GHS squad lost to Gillespie 10-9.
The Lady Comets led 9-2 going into the seventh inning and gave up eight runs.
Emma Bingham smacked a home run. She and Jana Glisson had three hits apiece in the game. Posting two hits each were Payton White, Haylee Clark, Ava Potthast and Zoee Englert.
The loss was only the third in 16 games for the varsity Lady Comets.
