Pixar and Toy Story are joining Disney Lorcana for the first time with its Wilds Unknown expansion, and we are excited to exclusively reveal six cards from the set, including Sid Phillips – Toy Surgeon, Alien – True Believer, The Claw, Babyhead – Leader of Sid’s Toys, Hand-In-The-Box – Sid’s Toy, and Bouncing Ducky – Sid’s Toy.

Disney Lorcana’s Wilds Unknown expansion set will debut at local game stores on May 8 and everywhere else on May 15, and it marks a big moment for the trading card game. Not only are Toy Story cards on their way, but we’ll also get cards from The Incredibles as well. Furthermore, the Toy Story cards come with their own new classification, aptly named Toy.

“Cards with the Toy classification in Wilds Unknown get better the more toys you have out, and many of the toy cards have tricks to help you play themselves or even other cards for cheaper,” Levi Dodd, Senior Game Designer at Ravensburger for Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game, told us. “But the neat thing is that toys don’t just care about other toys, some of them have abilities that care about playing other cards with a small ink cost. Any way you play a card for 2 ink or less will work, so try out toys together with songs, cost reduction, or just a lot of low-cost glimmers!”

And obviously, the toys are the stars. Buzz Lightyear – On the Way has already been revealed and we can imagine we’ll be getting Woody (as he appears in the art) and our other favorites, but we’re honored to be able to reveal some of the cards you’ll soon be able to add to your collection.

While Alien – True Believer and The Claw are just the perfect match and both look great, Sid Phillips – Toy Surgeon is an important card for so many reasons.

“The design team made the glimmer of Sid Philips – Toy Surgeon and his toys all Ruby glimmers since Sid has a bit of a chaotic side,” Dodd explained. “He fit right in! We knew early on his abilities would be about banishing characters, even his own, but it wasn’t until later that we thought to add in his second ability, which gives you lore when a Toy is banished. We thought it was the perfect way to represent how the glimmer loves to experiment with his toys.

“As for glimmers of his toys, they are all about recycling their friends back into your deck, just like they repair each other in the movie.”

There is so much more to look forward to in Wilds Unknown and beyond, and we’re just about to get a sneak peek at what’s next with today’s special Wilds Unknown Special Lorecast at 10am PT / 1pm ET! We’ll be covering all the big news from the show right here on IGN, so stay tuned!
