Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been looking into the Yonaguni Monument off the coast of Japan, and I’m honestly a bit torn on it.

On one hand, the geological explanation makes a lot of sense — sandstone, natural fractures, tectonic activity, erosion over time.
On the other hand, some of the formations (especially the terraces and sharp edges) just look surprisingly structured.

I’m not claiming it’s man-made — far from it — but I can understand why the debate keeps coming up.

So I wanted to ask what everyone here thinks?

Put together a short video where I tried to approach the topic in a balanced, evidence-based way. I have started making these videos, as I am learnign myself a lot when doing them.

Not trying to push anything — just really curious to hear different perspectives and whether I might be missing something.

Thanks a lot 🙏
