Kacey Musgraves thinks she may have spotted something out of this world.
The country singer recently shared a series of videos describing what she called the “craziest f–king orb, UFO experience” while flying from Texas to Tennessee.
According to Musgraves, this wasn’t just a quick sighting — it lasted for nearly the entire flight.
A Mid-Flight Surprise
The moment happened while traveling from Fort Worth to Nashville with her manager, when something unusual caught her attention.

“I saw these lights that just didn’t look normal,” she said, explaining she had been about to take a nap before noticing them.
What she described were three glowing orbs in the sky that didn’t behave like typical aircraft.
Lights That Didn’t Add Up
The objects, Musgraves said, moved in ways she couldn’t explain.
“These orbs were not moving like any aircraft that we can control,” she said. “They were intermittently coming and going, forming triangle patterns.”

The lights appeared “orange-ish” at times, but would also become extremely bright, even changing color and size.

The “Follow Your Arrow” singer said the pair watched the objects for about 45 minutes while flying roughly 55,000 feet above the ground.
Not the First Time
This wasn’t the first time Musgraves has seen something she couldn’t explain. “I’ve seen fire burning in the sky, things that I can’t explain,” she said. “I’m a noticer, I’m always noticing things.”

The lights were first spotted near Little Rock, Arkansas, and appeared to follow the plane for hundreds of miles.
It Wasn’t That
After sharing the experience, some suggested the lights could have been drones, satellites or even Starlink (a satellite internet provider) — something Musgraves quickly pushed back on.
“I’ve seen drones. I’ve seen satellites. We know what those look like,” she said. “It was not that. It was nowhere near that.”
What stood out most, she added, was how fast the objects moved, changing direction, color and size while traveling alongside the plane.
Still Trying to Explain It
Musgraves said she even asked the pilots if they’d seen similar lights, and they told her they had — frequently.
For now, she isn’t claiming to have all the answers, but remains open to the possibility of something beyond what we can explain.
“So yeah, s–t is weird,” she said. “But I’m here for it.”
Country Songs About Space
Although many country songs lean on wide open spaces for inspiration, there are a few that have come from the wonder of what lies beyond this planet.
