A wedding filled with rock royalty was also apparently a chance to bring up aliens for Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge.

Foo Fighters drummer Ilan Rubin shared the story on the “Go with Elmo” podcast recently, claiming DeLonge showed Nine Inch Nails frontman and Oscar-winner Trent Reznor a picture of a dead alien during Rubin’s 2020 wedding.
“When my wife and I got married, we finish the ceremony. Everyone goes to the reception or whatever, and she and I go up to the suite for her to get out of the wedding dress and have some champagne,” Rubin recalled “And we finally get down to the reception, where the first two people I see are Tom and Trent.”

Rubin remembered DeLonge taking out his phone and thinking, “I know how this goes: ‘Hey, check this out.’ And I’m thinking, ‘What is he possibly showing him right now?’”
He said he approached and DeLonge told him congratulations and went off to get a drink.
Rubin asked Reznor what DeLonge had shown him.

“He’s like, ‘That dude just showed me a dead alien,’” Reznor allegedly said. “Nobody else could conduct themselves in that way, and it be normal, but [Tom’s] just so unapologetically him. It’s infectious. It’s great. I’ll always remember that.”
DeLonge has a well-known love of space and an interest in extraterrestrial life, so much so that he left Blink-182 in 2015 to launch To the Stars Academy, a place dedicated to spreading knowledge and transparency about aliens.
