The winning streak of the Greenville High School varsity softball team came to an end Tuesday afternoon at home.
The Lady Comets lost, 10-4, to Teutopolis.
The GHS girls started the season with 10 straight wins.
Two Lady Comets pitched against Teutopolis. Payton White went four innings, striking out six, and Kaitlyn Lurkins had three strikeouts in her three innings of work.
GHS had just three hits. Those came off the bats of White, Jana Glisson and Paige Knebel.
The Lady Comets take a trip to Ramsey on Thursday, then play at home Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday of next week.
