Maybe a military plane dropping flares? Each one seems to stay put once it lights up – but I don’t know why you’d make flares that burn out so fast

Was taken over mid Wisconsin earlier tonight, 4/6/26 around 8pm CST.
Green light appearing one by one in rows of 4 or 5, disappearing, then reappearing the same way later on..
They seemed to move and have a green hue.
I think it might be a starlink train but as I’ve said in the post I have not seen them appear like this before
