Maybe these are both drawings of the same guy. Or maybe two guys who piloted similar snakevessels

Hapi isn’t piloting shit, he’s in a cave. The full carving shows this scene taking place beneath a big pile of rocks, which you can even see the bottom of in this cropped picture.

  2. At least locations are given for these, but it’s obviously hard to make any judgments without knowing what contexts they appeared in, what other images surrounded them, any relevant inscriptions, other similar imagery from these cultures, etc.

That’s not to say these images couldn’t be related (although I would be surprised) just that looking at them in isolation makes interpreting them difficult. A frustration I have with content about alternative history in general is stripping images from their context. That has nothing to do with any arguments being made beyond how images are being presented.

  3. I can’t get my snake vessel into third gear; clutch is warn out. It’s fine for trips to the local convenience store for cigs, but road trips are out of the question.

Or maybe it’s just two different images, of two different people, from two different parts of the world, from two different times in history, that have nothing to do with one another. That is entirely reasonable.

  5. They’re regarded the ancient ones as serpents because of the way they’re moved and their personalities

    Like a nickname that stuck

The conclusion starts there (please the Reddit comedian is played out and boring)

What is that “bag” looking thing. A lot of similar carvings have it?! I’ve been trying to decipher it but nothing
