So, with the Artemis launch earlier this week I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos and cane across some clips from the 2018 film, First Man, about the Apollo 11 mission. within that film there is a scene where Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling) flies and X-15 to the edge of the atmosphere. The sound design and cinematography is incredible so I decided to look up more info on the X-15 and found this video.
At the risk of embarrassing myself, has anyone come across this footage before? This is the first time i have ever seen this.

Hmm very interesting. Somewhat recent upload date is the only obvious red flag I see. It does loosely resemble an x15 from what I can tell.

this feels like an analog horror video, im going to guess its a fake

So they didnt censor it at the start but did once it moved? Also that message doesnt make any sense.
Surely people aren’t gullible enough to think this is anything but 100% fake?
I’m no expert but even I can spot a corny fake. Who added the beeps at the start? The font seems wrong. The camera movement compared to the plane movement is off. The sound doesn’t match. There’s only one bit of recorded dialogue? I could go on but “Armstrong is visibly shaken” then a still photo made me lol.
Neil was the pinfacle of human development. He flew some of the most hardcore test flights in human history . I didn’t get the impression he would go to the grave with his findings
