LEGO has just unveiled a very exciting trio of new LEGO Disney Pixar sets releasing on 1 May 2026, all based on Pixar’s iconic and still-running Toy Story films.
Launching as we begin to approach the global release date for Toy Story 5 in June 2026, the arrival of these new sets ends a bit of a LEGO Toy Story drought that’s only been briefly broken up by some Lightyear tie-ins, a few BrickHeadz and last year’s 43264 Toy Story Celebration Train & RC Car.
In the 1 May 2026 line-up we’ve got 43301 Toy Story Slinky Dog Bookends, 43306 Lotso and 43307 Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride.

43301 Toy Story Slinky Dog Bookends (1311 pieces)

The sole 18+ set in this line-up, 43301 Toy Story Slink Dog Bookends looks paw-sitively delightful, even if the anatomy of the whole thing is a little concerning. The set sees Slink’ split into two halves, seemingly using a purple and blue book as portals for the front and back halves of his body.
The official box image does unfortunately make his head look a little strange, but the side profile is much better, and the ears appear to be fabric elements which suit nicely. If the look of Slinky being split in half is too much, the set can also be arranged so that he’s in one piece and standing on top of the books, which I think a lot of folks will opt for.
The set also comes with Woody and Slinky Dog minifigures, which live in hidden compartments in the books! The Woody looks like a match for previous versions, but we have a Slinky now, at least.
43306 Lotso (570 pieces)

Toy Story 3’s Lotso (Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear) might seem like an odd choice for a standalone LEGO build, but this is a character that’s had an enormous marketing push in Asian markets and is now a key part of Disney Pixar’s merchandising efforts for the film – despite having just the one role, and as a bad guy!
Lotso’s official LEGO interpretation is a simple, 570-piece statue for ages 9+ and includes a nice amount of articulation in the face, arms, legs and hands, as well as a detachable walking stick. I love the way he’s portrayed on the front of the box as a happy, huggable plush bear but his whole demeanor changes in an instant just by changing the angle of his eyebrows.
43307 Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride (714 pieces)

As great as the other two sets are in this new Toy Story release, this last one is easily my favourite. Featuring the iconic claw machine alien riding on top of a Pizza Planet coin-operated ride, this 9+ set sports some great details.
You’ve got the boxy, brick-built alien and rocket, which both look excellent. The alien’s head, arms, hands and feet can be moved, and the rocket appears to use a sideways-mounted curved windscreen along with the same translucent blue cloud/wind gust piece we just saw used for Blastoise’s water jets in 72153 Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.
Adding to the decor is a pizza slice, a bit of “Sid wuz here” graffiti and the coin slot and the coin release, but most exciting is the crank handle at the base that’ll make the whole ride bob up and down like you’d expect!
