In September 2011, a powerful explosion shook the town of Monte Grande, in the province of Buenos Aires. The blast was heard several kilometers away and startled local residents, who, upon stepping outside, were met with a shocking scene: a house had been completely destroyed, and the windows of many nearby homes had been shattered. Despite the scale of the explosion, there were no typical signs of a conventional explosion, such as soot or burn marks.

The official explanation attributed the incident to a gas leak. However, this conclusion raised doubts among those familiar with the case, as the gas cylinders found at the scene showed no damage or signs of having been involved in an explosion. Adding to the mystery, ambulances, police vehicles, and firefighters arrived within minutes, leading some residents to question how such a rapid response had been possible.

Several witnesses claimed to have seen an object descending from the sky moments before the blast, although authorities dismissed this version of events. One resident even stated that he had captured the moment on his phone, but shortly after sharing his account, he was detained for allegedly spreading false information. His phone was confiscated, and the images were deleted, though photos reportedly taken of his phone’s screen later circulated.

As time went on, more testimonies emerged that deepened the mystery. Some residents reported the presence of unmarked military trucks passing through the area shortly after the explosion without stopping. Others claimed to have seen individuals wearing white protective suits using radiation-measuring devices, who, according to these accounts, removed a spherical object from the site. There were even reports of people hearing conversations in English among these individuals.

One account described a neighbor who, after approaching the debris to help, touched a piece of hot metal and experienced a severe burning sensation in his hand, requiring immediate medical attention. At the same time, nearby security camera footage disappeared, leaving only a single video recorded several blocks away as the sole visual evidence of the event.

Finally, the site of the explosion was quickly cleaned and leveled, removing nearly all visible traces of what had occurred. More than a decade later, the incident continues to raise questions and fuel theories among those who believe the official explanation does not fully account for all the details.
