I have been meaning to image the Markarian Chain for a long time, but I was hesitant because of the small FOV of my seestar s50. I settled on a 2 panel framing so that I could still get significant integration time, but it does feel a bit tight. There are 20h of integration on each panel for a total of 40h, taken as 20s subframes.
I used Nina to control the Seestar and to take the calibration frames. Because the sensor is not cooled, I used 2 degree C temperature-matched dark based on the sensor temperature of each frame. Quite the learning curve, but happy about the extended possibilities offered by Nina.
This was stacked in Siril with drizzle 1.7 and processed in PixInsight.
