Artemis II will mark NASA’s first crewed mission aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft. It is a scheduled 10-day crewed lunar flyby mission, targeted for launch no earlier than April 1, 2026, from Kennedy Space Center.

Four astronauts are expected to spend about 10 days in deep space, validating spacecraft systems with crew onboard. The mission will generate performance data and operational experience needed for future Artemis missions, including plans to land astronauts on the Moon for the first time in more than five decades.
