Project Hail Mary is a mighty good time, and a wonderful hope-core film that’s perfectly fitting in a world that’s lacking in good vibes. It’s hard to argue against this brilliant film, with Ryan Gosling just being a silly little guy with his alien buddy, who is also just a silly little guy.
Not only is Rocky the best bud anyone could ever hope for, but he’s also now been immortalized in plushie form as well. For almost 40 of your finest American dollars (plus tax, obviously), you can be the proud owner of an adorable 8″ collector plushie. Amaze Amaze!

This popular plushie was also sold out for several days, but is now back in stock. I’d still recommend snapping him up fast, just in case stock starts to dwindle again. Its release date has even been pushed back to further accommodate the interest, from April 16 to April 25, 2026.
The best place to lock in your preorder right now is Amazon, as you won’t be charged until it ships closer to release. Thankfully, that isn’t too much of a wait, as I would very much like mine to arrive ASAP.

That also features Rocky, alongside a couple of awesome “Project Hail Mary” specific pins, and finally, the adorable Grace figure Rocky makes early in the film.

There’s also a Project Hail Mary – Trading Card Mini Set, for $39.99, which seems a bit pricey, but os worth noting for anyone looking to go all in for a cosplay or something.
Besides the merch, I also want to call out the awesome Project Hail Mary sprayed edge special edition that’s now up for preorder for $37.28 as well (down from $40). That’s out December 1, and well worth picking up for any fans of the book or film.

In his review for IGN, Tom Jorgensen gave Project Hail Mary an 8/10, stating: “Project Hail Mary is a rollicking sci-fi blockbuster celebrating how much we can accomplish when we work together… and how much meet-cute mileage you can get out of watching Ryan Gosling befriend a rock alien for two and a half hours.”
I have also seen the film twice, and loved it. Highly recommend seeing it on the biggest screen you can!
