LAVAL, QC. – The Utica Comets gained a tight shootout win over the Laval Rocket on Wednesday night at Place Bell. The Rocket opened the scoring late in the first period thanks to Sean Farrell and held on to that 1-0 lead until the last 5 minutes of the game, where Calen Addison tied the game as he was left alone in front of Kaapo Kahkonen.
Laval failed to net any goals in the shootout, leading to Utica’s win in two rounds. Thanks to their two successful goals, Utica took the win, 2-1.
