A fairly in-depth examination of potential mechanisms behind UFO close encounters; particularly close encounters of the third and fourth kind, as defined by astronomer and UFO researcher J. Allen Hynek. This article takes a close look at frequently reported features of close encounter scenarios including anomalous lights, bizarre craft, non-human beings, abductions, "paranormal" effects, and more.

You’ve obviously put a lot of effort into this, so I don’t like to dismiss it entirely. But why aren’t you actually addressing cases we are interested in, like cases with radar anomalies? Saying people are imagining things or hallucinating or misidentifying things seems like picking the low hanging fruit. We aren’t interested in those cases, as has been pointed out many times – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMujBiBF7Qw&t=51s
We’re interested in the cases with good data that remain unidentified. Because these are cases of anomalies, they are by definition unidentifiable, at least currently. That void of understanding does not need filling with more pointless obfuscation or supposition unrelated to the cases, that void needs careful examination of what we know about the cases. You aren’t examining any of those important cases, and I am wondering why you spend so much energy ignoring the actual topic we are discussing on this sub and instead investigating “altered states of consciousness”?
For instance, how does the Minot case of 1968 fit into your thinking on the topic? There were multiple witnesses, evidence of damage to the nuclear facility, and documented radar evidence in the official report from the pilots of the B-52.
Really it’s easy to say misidentification when you have not seen something you can’t explain. Mine was like a living being moving with reaching out colors maybe plasma but looked like a living being not a craft.
