The Greenville Lady Comets varsity softball team is 3-0 for the season after a victory Thursday.
The GHS squad defeated Nokomis 13-0. The Lady Comets took control early, scoring nine runs in the first inning.
Haylee Clark had a three-hit game. Payton White, Ava Potthast and Zoee Englert had two hits apiece.
White was the starting pitcher and struck out four. Potthast also saw pitching action, recording five strikeouts.
In junior varsity play, Greenville scored six runs. Clare and Jana Glisson each cracked doubles. Paige Knebel tripled and Kenzi Stefanisin finished with two hits.
Stefanisin was winning pitcher. She struck out five batters.
