2200 BC -Extreme climate change and civilization emergency

The biggest harshest climate event on record occurred in 2200 BC. The 4.2ka event.
That's when cyclopean walls were invented to deal with the lack of water, and expanded to rule the continent.
A disastrous event was the ultimate cause for the innovation. 
If cyclopean walls are the outcome, then I call it a good thing and the birth of a golden age. 
However some of you might be suspicious of why it was so important to have cyclopean walls.
