Students at St John’s C of E Primary School recently undertook a series of engaging activities, including hands-on experiments, the creation and launch of their own rockets, and learning about notable astronauts such as Neil Armstrong and Mae Jemison.

Intrigued by astronauts’ daring journeys, the pupils discovered the essential traits of courage, curiosity, and teamwork required in space exploration.

The week reached its peak with a visit from Wonder Dome, a mobile planetarium.

The dome transformed the school hall into a celestial spectacle, showcasing brilliant stars, swirling galaxies, and far-off planets.

The immersive experience left an indelible impression on the students, with many expressing a wish to extend their cosmic adventure.

The school acknowledged the contribution of staff, pupils, and Wonder Dome in making the space-themed Science Week a memorable event.
