It has been discovered that a new government domain, ‘aliens.gov,’ has been registered for use by the U.S. government. Because the domain name contains the word ‘aliens,’ it is speculated that this is related to the Donald Trump administration’s efforts to release information about aliens.

On March 18, 2026, the overseas media outlet 404 Media reported that the U.S. government had registered a new government domain called ‘aliens.gov’.

The registration was carried out through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) , which is under the Department of Homeland Security . CISA oversees the federal government’s ‘.gov’ domain system and is responsible for registering domains on behalf of the government.

As of the time of writing, there are no websites associated with the ‘aliens.gov’ domain, but because the domain name contains the string ‘aliens,’ it is speculated that it may be used to publish information about aliens.

Some people suspect that the U.S. government is hiding information about aliens and UFOs (unidentified flying objects). The government has also frequently released information related to aliens and UFOs, and the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), established by the U.S. Department of Defense in July 2022 to deal with UFOs, announced that it had received hundreds of UFO reports from the U.S. military in just the six months since its opening.

On the other hand, the All-Domains Anomaly Resolution Bureau reported in a 2024 report that there is no evidence to confirm that sightings of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) are extraterrestrial technology.

Meanwhile, in a podcast appearance in February 2026, former US President Barack Obama stated, ‘Aliens exist, but I have never seen them. They haven’t been captured, nor are they being held in Area 51 or any underground facility, unless there’s a huge conspiracy to cover it up from the President of the United States.’ You can hear this statement starting around 44 minutes and 3 seconds into the embedded video below.

Obama later clarified his statement, claiming that his idea of aliens existing was simply a reference to the vastness of space, and that he had seen no evidence of aliens making contact with humans during his presidency.

Following these remarks, on February 19, Trump indicated his intention to instruct the Department of Defense and other government agencies to release government records concerning aliens and UFOs.

Given that the ‘aliens.gov’ domain was registered approximately one month after President Trump’s instructions, it’s possible the new domain will be used to release alien-related information.

Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Heggesses has stated that he is not certain when the alien-related information will be released. ‘The team is currently working on the release,’ Heggesses commented. ‘Let’s wait and see what happens. Like everyone else, I will review the released documents and check their contents.’
