    I think if there is data to be analyzed, academics will gladly do so. They just don’t have it yet, so it’s safe to stay sceptical until then.

    Forget about curiosity and skepticism: researchers by necessity must follow the grant money. If there’s funds to research something they want to they will and little can stop them.
