The Rokinon 135mm remains one of the best bangs for your buck in astrophotography. This is just 6.5 hours of Hydrogen Alpha and Oxygen-III data captured from my light-polluted backyard, and the sharpness still blows me away.
Normally, the Orion region is a total battle against gradients in the suburbs, but the speed of the "Roki" combined with narrowband filters cuts right through the mess. The star shapes and the structural detail in the Horsehead are exactly why this lens stays in my rotation—it’s just reliable, even when you don't have a 30-hour window for integration.
