Retired US officer Robert Salas claims unidentified objects disabled Minuteman nuclear missiles in 1967, raising new questions about UFO activity.
The British newspaper Daily Mail reported that retired US Air Force officer Robert Salas claimed that unidentified objects had allegedly interfered with American Minuteman I intercontinental ballistic missiles. According to him, about 20 nuclear delivery systems were disabled as a result of the incident.
Salas stated that in 1967 at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, unknown forces managed to bypass security systems and disable the missiles. He said that at the time, base personnel reported strange moving lights in the sky, which sometimes stopped and emitted bright red beams. Shortly afterward, it was discovered that missiles stored in underground silos had become inoperable.
He added that the guards who observed these phenomena were convinced the objects were not related to Soviet military technology.
The retired officer believes the objects could have been extraterrestrial craft. In his view, their actions may have been aimed at preventing a potential nuclear catastrophe and a global conflict.
Earlier, reports also emerged about the disappearance of retired US General William Neil McCasland, who is believed to have had access to classified information related to unidentified flying objects during his service.
