They probably do it too. Humans aren’t the only creatures on earth to farm other creatures. Ants farm aphids for food for one. Most creatures will farm others if they have the mental capacity to do so.

End of the day an easy and fast source of nutrients (compared to hunting and gathering) would be needed by most if now any race to get to space travel, farming is more than likely something that a lot of other species would have done at some point in their history.
