For fellow astrophotographers who are looking for an upgrade/new purchase of a computer, whether a Mac or Windows platform, here is an objective comparison between my old 2017 Intel iMac 27" Core i5 and new 2025 M4 Max Mac Studio.
It will help you to guesstimate your current setup and future purchases. I am very pleased with the performance of Mac devices and recommend it to everyone.
Also, please note that the performance will vary a little at each analysis but should be within a sensible ballpark.
