HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Huntington Children’s Museum hosted its NASA day event on Friday, March 13.

Kids got the chance to paint a planet, make a mini-planetarium, and learn about space pioneer Katherine Johnson, who was from West Virginia.

Kids also got to enjoy a special space food buffet, too.

Kyle Dyer, who’s with the museum, said the event is one of the many different learning experiences the museum has to offer.

“The children’s museum is here to inspire kids to interact with different activities, but also feel safe in their environment learning and playing, and learning through play,” Dyer said. “So, having these opportunities for them is super special.”
