The 96% illuminated Venus captured through my telescope yesterday evening.

Infrared gives the cleanest and smoothest view of the disc, while ultraviolet reveals the dark patches caused by a still unknown UV absorbing material high in Venus‘s atmosphere. The false color blend combines the smooth IR shape with the UV cloud structure to show both layers at once.
