Think this has made the rounds before but figured it was worth discussing again.
It's a document called "The Poltergeist Initiative" – a counterintelligence operational manual for infiltrating and running disinfo campaigns in UFO/UAP online communities. Dated June 10, 2022, marked CLASSIFIED.
Can't say whether it's legitimate or not. Might be a well crafted fake. But either way it's a pretty detailed read – subreddit profiling, tactics for posing as real community members, manufacturing consensus, exploiting confirmation bias, fabricating imagery and video. Whoever wrote it clearly put thought into it.
Genuine or not, a lot of it feels like a recognizable description of stuff this community has been dealing with for a long time.
Anyone have any idea where this first appeared?

No.
Considering that intelligence agencies have done this in every single community that they deem may be a threat, it’s pretty much a guarantee that they’re doing it in the UFO community as well. This document may or may not be real, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s a fact that it is happening. Common sense logic leads to using these exact strategies and methods. They’re operating bot farms, using AI, and employing real people to accomplish whatever goals they have in any online community. It’s minimal input for maximum output. Before the internet, they did it the old fashioned way.
It was what, the 1960’s when the CIA infiltrated every news agency and radio station, Hollywood, and every other institution? Been going on for a long time and the internet is just a new playground for these people.
Even if it were completely fabricated, the directions therein ARE real and all that means is that there is at least one protocol that has been conjured up. Why not five more that have gone unpublished?
Tough to read some of that on my mobile device.
