I think some of those biblical angels with all the wings and eyes could be later artists interpretation of UFOs through eyewitness descriptions of behavior.
If you were some dumb as dirt medieval artist with zero context for aircraft much less flying saucers, and you’re being paid to interpret text and visually depict something that was described as being able to fly in any direction and seems to always be watching what would you draw?
