DES MOINES, IA (KTIV) – The IHSAA pitted two teams roughly 45 minutes from one another, against each other in the IHSAA Class 1A Quarterfinals.

MMCRU was seeded second, with Boyden-Hull the 7 seed.

While the Comets would stick around early on, the Royals would dominate the rebounding battle and their inside presence would help build a lead.

For MMCRU it was a group effort, 4 players reached double digits.

Kamden Bork and Michael Schmillen each scored 14, while Josh Peterson and Wyatt Alesch each added 11.

Boyden-Hull was lead by seniors Garret Van Es and Carter Kleinwolterink. Van Es would post a double double scoring 14 and snagging 10 boards. While Kleinwolterink would tack on 14 as well.

Boyden-Hull ends their season with an 18-8 record, making their 21st state tournament appearance.
