Date: 24 March 2026 (with possible Technology Line splinter meetings on 25 March 2026)

Location: ESA, ESTEC, The Netherlands or virtual where needed

This workshop represents an important milestone in the ongoing effort to strengthen Europe’s capabilities, competitiveness, and strategic autonomy in the domain of EEE space components.

The EEE Initiative aims to ensure that Europe can rely on a robust, resilient, and innovative supply chain for electronic, electrical and electromechanical components essential to present and future space missions. As the programme continues to grow, this workshop offers a key opportunity for stakeholders to learn about recent progress, contribute to the definition of future activities, and engage directly with ESA experts and Member State representatives.

Purpose and Focus of the Workshop

Throughout the day, participants will receive an in‑depth update on the current status of the EEE Initiative, including achievements to date, planned developments, and collaborative opportunities across Europe. The event is designed to foster open dialogue across the full ecosystem of actors, strengthening the collective vision for a resilient European EEE landscape.

Stakeholders from across the supply chain – including EEE component manufacturers, supporting supply industries, testing facilities, end‑users, academia, and national delegations from ESA Member States – are warmly invited to take part. Their contributions and perspectives will play a vital role in shaping the future evolution of the programme.

Programme Structure – 24 March 2026

The workshop is divided into morning and afternoon sessions to allow for both strategic exchange and technical insight:

Morning Session:
ESA will open the workshop with introductory presentations, followed by contributions from Member State national delegations. This session will present the overarching objectives of the EEE Initiative and highlight the policy and strategic considerations driving its development.

Afternoon Session:
The focus will shift towards industry perspectives through a series of invited presentations from key industrial stakeholders. The session will conclude with a dedicated Q&A segment and networking time, providing an excellent opportunity for participants to engage directly with the community and explore areas of potential cooperation.

The venue can host up to 100 participants. In the event of higher demand, a selection procedure may be applied to ensure balanced representation across stakeholder groups. Please note that participation is restricted to entities from ESA Member States only.
