Paul Richards, Dunmore native and mission specialist, celebrated the 25th anniversary of NASA’s STS-102 while teaching folks what it takes to be an astronaut.
SCRANTON, Pa. — On Sunday in Scranton, folks had the opportunity to learn about what it takes to be an astronaut.
Dunmore native and mission specialist Paul Richards celebrated the 25th anniversary of NASA’s STS-102, a space shuttle mission to the International Space Station.
The event at the Everhart Museum in Scranton included various space exploration items on display as well as a chance for fans to meet Richards.
“This is great, giving that I was so blessed to have done this. I always feel it’s obligation to share it, but it’s extra special to come to the hometown and share it with friends and family,” said Richards.
The ‘Hubble Space Telescope’ was also included in today’s display which will be available to view through July.
