
What if the Germans DIDNT focus on Moscow for Barbarossa, but instead went south for the oil fields, Black Sea ports, (and give Some “liberated” land to the Turks as a bribe to join) and north to meet with the fins? Then later on (maybe in this hypothetical universe, 1942-43, close the middle salient in Russia? (Map for help)
(This would make Army Group South 60% of the invasion group, plus the Bulgarians, Romanians, and Italians. Army Group North would be 25%, plus the Fins, and Army Group Centre would stay in fortified defensive “wall” on the old border, housing the remaining 15% of the forces slotted for the invasion.
